Chinese New Year

This year, for Chicken Smoothie's annual Chinese New Year Celebration (also called Lunar New Year) users could claim free gifts from the adoption page. Chinese New Year started on January 25th, and celebrated the year of the rat. Players who took the gift received 2 copies of each rat item in the set.

April Fool's Day

This April Fool's Day, Chicken Smoothie became Chicken Smooth. These items were released to celebrate the new new glossy look. Everyone received 2 copies. They could be claimed from the dog adoption page.

In 2020, Easter Day was celebrated on April 12th. In the days preceding it, CS held an Easter Event, consisting of pets and items, both free and obtainable with tokens. This event started on April 4th on CS.

Every 20 minutes during the Easter Hunt, users were able to find a banner at the bottom of the page. When clicked, the banner would usually reward the player with one of four tokens. These tokens could then be exchanged on the Easter Event page for pets and items specially made for the event. Tokens could also be used as regular items on pets, which became their sole purpose after the event. The banner limit in 2020 was 300 banners.

On occasion after clicking a banner players would receive one of the following animal eggs instead of the usual token. The animal eggs could not be traded in on the event p[age and are rather considered collectible items. Their designs are based on that of previous pets, and they did count towards the player's banner limit. Not all Animal Eggs became available at the same time. Rather they were gradually introduced over the course of the event into the possible items one could get from clicking the banner.

The scenery items were shared between the sets. Upon purchasing a set, the user would receive 1 of each corresponding clothing item, and 1 of each scenery piece.

CS Birthday

In 2020 Chicken Smoothie celebrated its 12th birthday! In addition to some free gifts on a separate adoption page, the site also released a new feature: an Oekaki activity feed.

This free set was available from the event page. Users who claimed the set got a complete set of items. This included 2 birthday cakes, 1 of each birthday card, 2 white and yellow envelopes, 1 blue and pink envelope, 1 of each gift, and one of each balloon, except for the happy birthday balloons, which award the player with 2 copies.
