Oekaki Rules

The Oekaki is a drawing program that allows you to draw and share your art on Chicken Smoothie, you can find the drawing boards here: http://www.chickensmoothie.com/Forum/viewforum.php?f=29

All images made in the oekaki board must follow our general [url=http://www.chickensmoothie.com/Forum/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=30437]Art Rules[/url] - however, there are some extra rules specific to the Oekaki that you should be aware of;

[color=#4000BF][b]What you should do in the Oekaki:[/b][/color]

• Keep comments polite, helpful, and relevant to the artwork. Critique is allowed if requested by the artist - but bare insults are not welcome here.
• Make an effort to post your drawing in the correct board. For example, if you color in an Editable drawing, post it into the 'Colored-in' board. If you are new to oekaki and your artwork isn't of a very high standard yet, post in the Beginners board until you've had more practice.
• [b]If using an editable, follow the artist's rules![/b] This may include leaving a signature/watermark layer on the final image, or may prevent you from selling colored-in versions as adoptables.

[color=#4000BF][b]What you shouldn't do in the Oekaki:[/b][/color]

• [b]Don't post excessively bloody/gory/violent images, nudity[/b], or anything else which might be inappropriate for younger viewers.
• [b]Do not post blank canvases in the contests board.[/b] Contests may be posted there only if you provide a lineart or background for contestants to use in their entries. If you don't need people to edit something in particular, go to the [url=http://www.chickensmoothie.com/Forum/viewforum.php?f=43]Regular Art Competitions Board[/url] to create your topic. You can still make a rule that your contestants make their [u]entries[/u] in the Oekaki boards if you prefer it that way.
• [b]Don't make Oekaki drawings with just words or puzzles written on them.[/b] The oekaki is for sharing artwork, not for displaying a message or playing a forum game.
• Don't spam the oekaki with random 10 second scribbles or advertisements and trade requests.
• Religious themes are allowed in most boards EXCEPT in the [b]Editable[/b] or [b]Adoptable[/b] boards. Please keep these images for the Beginners, Intermediate, or Sketches boards instead.
• Don't post offensive images imposing your beliefs on others. You are free to express your beliefs in a peaceful way, but not by hating on or denouncing any other person or group of people.

[color=#4000BF][b]Oekaki Contest Rules[/b][/color]

When creating an oekaki contest you must provide [u]at least [b]one[/b][/u] of the following which needs to be used in all entries:

• A lineart (or part of a lineart for contestants to complete).
• A proper background.[/list]

[b]You must also announce a date for when the contest will end.[/b]

If you don't provide something for users to edit, your contest will be moved to the regular [url=http://www.chickensmoothie.com/Forum/viewforum.php?f=43]Art Contest board[/url]. You should post your contest in that board if you don't need users to color in something specific, or want to include art made in other programs.

[color=#4000BF]Contests with prizes for the winners[/color]

Most people choose to enter a contest based on what kind of prize they have a chance to win. These rules are designed to protect players from being ripped off in contests which change or don't deliver the promised prizes.

• [b]Don't offer any prizes that you'll regret losing.[/b] If you're not happy to give something away, it shouldn't be a prize.
• [b]Any prizes you offer [u]must be[/u] awarded to winners at the end of the contest - even if you cancel or close the contest early.[/b] If the entries were disappointing or you didn't get many to pick from, advertise and bump more to try and get more entries before you close.
• [b][u]You can't list any prizes that aren't definitely going to be given out.[/u][/b] This means you can no longer list conditional prizes (e.g. grand prizes) which you'll only give out if you get a particularly good entry. Every prize listed must be awarded at the end of the contest if the entry conditions are met.
• [b]You can't change your promised prizes, unless you are changing them to something of the same (or higher) value.[/b] Any changes made must be accepted by the prize winner or contestants involved.
• [b]You can't trade or auction pets that you're offering in a contest.[/b]
• [b]Contests without an advertised end date must end within 3 months.[/b] The end date can be changed or extended, but if the contest has been open for a long time without any activity from contestants or the contest holder than it may be forced closed by staff.
