The CS Team

Chicken Smoothie is only possible because of the dedicated work of volunteers who fill various positions on the site! Everyone on the team has played Chicken Smoothie extensively before being promoted to their position (except of course the owners). In fact, most team members still actively play the game, despite the demands their position brings! It's important to remember that if you see a team member posting their opinions on the forum, or you happen to trade with one, they are acting as regular users. You should not feel pressured to treat them differently just because of their role on the site. The only reason people join the team is out of a desire to help and an enjoyment for Chicken Smoothie; everyone just wants to have fun sometimes!

All team members are expected to treat members politely, so you shouldn't fear interactions with them. It's always okay to approach someone if you need help, although it is worth noting that sending a Help Ticket is typically the best way to get the fastest response. No issue is too small for a ticket, so don't worry about it!

Each position on the team has a special color so that it is easier for members to identify them. The roles all have their own responsibilities and permissions, to help keep the work flow reasonable and working toward each member's expertise. Some members of the team have multiple roles, because they were later promoted from a previous position. Typically these members preform the duty related to the color on their username, but they have access to the tools and information associated with all their positions. For example, some global moderators are also general helpers. Although they preform the duties of a global moderator, they can still view the tickets sent for general helpers to answer.

You can check out the full list of current (and former) team members on the "Our Team" page, located in the bottom right-hand corner of the site.

When entry level team positions open, the administrators will make an open call for qualified applicants on the forum. This way everyone can submit an application and have a chance at the job. It is truly appreciated that so many people want to contribute to Chicken Smoothie, but unfortunately not everyone can be accepted to the team, and staff do not take individual requests outside of open applications. Please do not ask!

Administrators
Administrators, often abbreviated as "admins," oversee the entire site, and run everything. There are four admins on Chicken Smoothie: Tess, Nick, Sorren Fey and Simon. Tess founded site back in 2008, and Nick, her brother, has helped with coding and development. Sorren Fey, one of the first moderators and long time devotee to the site, was also promoted to the admin position in 2014. Together they make additions to the site, plan events, and handle some of the most difficult cases that come through the help system. They also handle hirings, pick new official artists, handle bans and appeals, and occasionally contribute their own pet designs.

Admin Assistants
Admin assistants, sometimes abbreviated as AAs, can issue warnings and punishments, and as such they do participate in moderating the site. While they can still help out with moderation (though typically they take up the more serious cases), this group also handles the enforcement of the COPPA act. They also help reconnect users with their accounts in the case of lost passwords and emails. Beyond that, they generally help the admins wherever there's extra work to be done. Admin assistants are promoted from the Global Moderator position.

CS Staff
The "CS Staff" position groups together a couple of different roles. Most people with this role are Official Artists, who contribute pet and/or item designs to the site regularly, and help plan out events. They don't have power over the forum, but rather deal solely with the behind the scenes designing of the game. Also included under this position is the site's Archivist, who updates the archive regularly. There's also a staff member who runs Chicken Smoothie's fan club on Facebook. In any case, members are personally invited to their role by an administrator if their work has been noticed and there is a need for more people in the position.

Global Moderators
Global Moderators, often called "mods" or "gmods" for short, watch over the whole forum. They give warnings, lock or delete threads, move misplaced topics, edit inappropriate posts, and generally keep Chicken Smoothie a safe and fun place for everyone! They handle booth help tickets and reports, and deal with a lot of moderation in private messages (such as bullying or harassment) as well as more complicated matters, such as accusations of scamming. They also approve messages for new or restricted accounts. They have access to the ticket system, and can view reports on the forum, as well as reported private messages.
When it is time to hire more global moderators an administrator will make an open call on the forum for anyone who is qualified to apply. Due to the potential to come across inappropriate material in this position, global moderators must be 18 years of age or older.

Oekaki Moderators
Oekaki moderators, abbreviated often as "omods," watch over the Oekaki boards and make sure all the drawings are appropriate, as well as checking that all the competitions are ending properly. In order to accomplish all of this, these team members can lock, move, edit, and delete posts. They also must approve the posts and drawings of COPPA members in this board, and have access to the ticket and report system. Furthermore, Oekaki moderators also curate the collection of featured artwork which appears on the homepage each week.
When it is time to hire more oekaki moderators an administrator will make an open call on the forum for anyone who is qualified to apply. Due to the potential to come across inappropriate material in this position, Oekaki moderators must be 16 years of age or older.

Roleplay Moderators
Roleplay moderators, often shortened to just "rpmods," respond to reports in the roleplay boards, watching over these fun activities to make sure everyone follows the rules. To carry out their task, these moderators can lock, move, edit, and delete posts or topics in the RP boards. They also approve the posts of new or restricted members made in this area.
When it is time to hire more roleplay moderators an administrator will make an open call on the forum for anyone who is qualified to apply. Due to the potential to come across inappropriate material in this position, roleplay moderators must be 18 years of age or older.

General Helpers
General Helpers, often called GHs for short, are a group of knowledgable are super friendly and just want to help out! They keep and eye out for lost members on the forum, respond to help tickets, keep a presence on the introduction boards, and help other team members wherever it is needed. GHs also contribute articles to the wiki regularly (but it is not their job exclusively).
When it is time to hire more general helpers an administrator will make an open call on the forum for anyone who is qualified to apply.

Fanart Archivist
Fanart Archivists are members who have been chose to help keep the Fanart Gallery up to date. They upload the submissions to the gallery site to be preserved, so all of Chicken Smoothie's fans can view it!
When it is time to hire more fan art archivists an administrator will make an open call on the forum for anyone who is qualified to apply.
