April Fool's 2019: Hair Stylin' Day

|  On April 1st, Chicken Smoothie players discovered that Totoro had decided to try out her hairstyling abilities on some of the pets. Pets from all areas of the site were revealed to have new wigs added over their images, much to the surprise of users. A new dress up challenge was created, letting users display new dress up projects done with their newly bedazzled pets. It would be left up for eight days, until the celebration of Chicken Smoothie's 11th birthday! | ||
The Avatars
Team members could use customized avatars created on the same line art, or use the randomized default.
The Forums
As per usual, there was a chat filter put over the forum, changing a few words to be specific to this year's theme: the salon. This created some funny confusion for users who had word censoring enabled. This is a common tradition for Chicken Smoothie's April Fool's day events.
To give users a place to discuss the events, Tess created a few new topics in the event board. These included fan art for the event, and event discussion thread, and a casual chat. This is the first April Fool's event to be hosted in the event board, as the board was only created in the summer of 2017 and there was no April Fool's event in 2018 (due to the fact Easter was the same day).
Beyond the word filter and the switched avatars, the prank also changed the role displayed on team member's profiles. While the role colors stayed the same, it was the description on the profiles which changed.
